EFT is a form of Energy Psychology that is based on the ancient Chinese meridian energy system. It is based on the concept that negative emotions are the result of a disruption in the body’s energy system. EFT is used to clear the energy block or disruption by tapping on the end points of the body’s meridian systems. Focusing on a specific issue and tapping on end points of meridians sends pulses of energy to rebalance the system and rewire the brain’s conditioned responses. EFT works to gently release traumatic memories, phobias, and cravings, as well as limiting beliefs and negative thoughts and emotions.

Matrix Reimprinting enables the transformation of traumatic memories by revisiting and reimprinting them with positive emotions and beliefs. It combines EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) with visualization, allowing individuals to heal trauma. Like EFT, Matrix Reimprinting uses the Traditional Chinese Medicine meridian system. In conventional EFT, tapping on meridian end points is used to take the emotional intensity out of a past memory. In EFT, traumatic or stressful memories can be recalled without any associated emotional charge or stress. In Matrix Re-imprinting, the memory is transformed. Memories can be recalled and transformed by saying and doing what you wished you’d said and done at that time. There is also opportunity to bring in new resources and create and transform the picture of that memory. More importantly there is opportunity to change the negative and debilitating beliefs that were formed about yourself or about life because of the experiences.

In Matrix Reimprinting, negative memories are held as pictures or holograms in your body/energy field. Until these memories are transformed, recurrent subconscious energy affects overall health and wellbeing. Changing the imagery creates both physical and emotional healing and enables the opportunity to attract more positive experiences. The process is accelerated through tapping. And the process brings further benefit by releasing the stress and trauma held in our body-mind and body-field, due to traumatic life events.

Hi, I’m Willa Paterson. I am an Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner with EFT International and a Yoga Instructor.

In 2013, I enrolled in an EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) workshop and was smitten by this simple and elegant way of releasing emotional stress. I went on to study with many different teachers and eventually became an Accredited Certified EFT practitioner in 2018. I use EFT, Picture Tapping, and Matrix Reimprinting to help clients achieve greater relief from stress and its effects on their bodies, hearts, and minds. My deepest wish is that, with renewed clarity and peace, they return to the world more centred in themselves, steadier, more creative, and powerful.

When I first started practicing yoga in the late 90’s, I discovered a whole new way of connecting with myself to relieve both physical and emotional stress; it was life changing. Inspired to teach, I was originally trained by Todd Norian in 2004. Since then, I have blended many subsequent learnings and life experiences into my teaching, and personal practice. I am a strong advocate for student-led self exploration and awareness even though I may be me leading the class. I wish for yoga to be accessible to all bodies and have taught people from all walks of life and with varying abilities. My love is to help someone discover a new, spacious, powerful, and kind way of experiencing their body and how it feels to be in it, so that they can take that with them out into the world once they’ve rolled up their mat.

Hello! I’m Kade Shaw. As a Registered Social Worker holding Bachelors and Masters of Social Work degrees, I work with all kinds of presenting concerns such as anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation, grief, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, identity exploration, and meaning-making. My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in anti-oppressive care. I’m committed to ongoing learning — through professional training, up-to-date neuroscience research, and client feedback — to ensure my work is grounded, inclusive, and responsive. I work especially well with sensitive, curious people navigating anxiety, trauma, identity, and life transitions. Many of my clients are queer, neurodivergent, or deeply empathic — folks who’ve often felt “othered” and are looking for a space where they don’t have to explain themselves. I believe therapy is relational and real — not clinical or distant. I’ll show up as a full human, and together we’ll co-create a plan that fits your needs, pace, and goals. Together, we’ll explore your inner world, tend to past wounds, and align with your most authentic self — all while cultivating self-compassion and nervous system resilience. Some of my favourite modalities are acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness-based, internal family systems, somatic experiencing, and cognitive behavioural therapy. I am currently accepting new clients and offering both in-person sessions in Sudbury and virtual sessions across Ontario. If you or someone you know is looking for support, I’d be honoured to connect.
